Donald Nelzi was bom in Port-Au-Prince Haiti on September 2A, 1.967 to his mother
Nesilia Lousina (deceased) and father Alfred Nelzy (deceased). At the age of 16 years old,
Donald migrated to the United States where he resided in Canarsie of Brooklyn New york.
. Donald had Attended York College in Jamaica New York, where he received his
Bachelor degree in Mathematics on June 30, 2003. He then pursued his career in the NypD on
July of 2003, and continued to rise up the ranks of police officer to Sergeant.
Donald eventually met the love of his life Sabine Lamand and they later were married on
September 21, 1991. The lovely couple then turned to buy a house on June of 1993 in Valley
Stream New York, where they had a son named Denzel Donald Nelzy. Denzel Donald
Nelzy also pursues a career as a Police Officer in the NYPD due to the motivation and happiness
Donald had shown to Denzel throughout his career. Donald had an infectious smile and humor
towards people which caused him to be loved by so many around him. He treated everyone with
love, care, and respect, which had a huge positive impact on his family, co-workers, and friends.
Donald would walk in a room, where he would light up the place with his sense of humor and
laugh that always put a smile on everyone’s face.
As we reflect on his life and how he impacted us, it will always bring us team, but also a
smile to remember those precious moments that we share with his life.
Donald is survived by his wife Sabine Lamand, his son Denzel Donald Nelzy, sister
Anne-Marie Nelzy, brother Yvon Nelzy, Sis-in-Law Sheila famand, nieces, nephews, aunts,
uncles, cousins, and friends.
It hurts our hearts deeply to have such an untimely passing. This is not a goodbye, it,s a
see you later. You will forever be in our hearts. Until we meet again. We love you, Donald. Rest
in eternal peace in the arms of our lord Jesus Christ with your sister Yanick Nelzy, mother and
father.
